Job Title: Director of Discipleship

Reports to: Senior Pastor
Works with: Senior Pastor, Staff team, TEC, Ministry leaders, Cell Group Leaders and Church Volunteer

Principle Function:
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Discipleship Ministry
    • Key liaison to coordinate with invited guest speakers to arrange flights, itinerary, logistics in Shanghai
    • Organize seminars and trainings for members, conduct training for new believers, pre-baptism class.
    • Coordinate printing materials for church group study
    • Liaison for discipleship training partnership with other ministries
  2. Cell Groups Ministry
    • Oversee cell groups, keeping CG info up to date, address CG needs, support CG leaders with church resources as needed
    • Maintain close communication with CGs to ensure important notice, sermon materials are disseminated consistently
    • Coordinate, connect members and newcomers to suitable CGs
    • Relationship building with ICS members and newcomers if they are new to ICS
    • Review weekly sermons, craft CG discussion questions
  3. Translation Ministry
    • Coordinate interpreters, sermon for translation and reviews
    • Organize devotionals for translation, reviews and posts
  4. Communications
    • Channel of communication to members for ICS announcements
    • Review weekly prayer list, newsletter, social media post
    • Generate weekly graphics, sermon image, update weekly Bulletin with announcements, info, events, promotion
    • Prepare moderator roster and weekly script with announcement update
  5. Fulfil any additional support from Senior Pastor
  6. Be a Great team player to support other Staff when needed

Qualifications:
• Seminary study background preferred or strong Biblical foundation
• Minimum with a Bachelor’s degree
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task various tasks at a time and expected to work independently after training
• Strong written and oral communication in English
• Able to fluently communicate in both English and Chinese preferred
• Design software experience in Adobe AI preferred
• Intermediate computer and software skills
• A Great Team player within the office

Location: Shanghai, China
Days/Hours: Full-Time (Tuesday to Sunday, with Saturday and Monday off)
