Romans 8:14,16 (NKJV) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God…. The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.
The Holy Spirit bears witness with our spirits that we are children of God. Once we are conscious of the fact that the Holy Spirit resides in us, we should make the effort to listen to His prompting. Since He cannot be seen with the naked eye, we need to allow Him to lead us through our heart or “spirit man”.
The Holy Spirit doesn’t bear witness with our minds—but our spirits—that we are children of God. Our minds can only learn from Scripture that those who have the Son of God are children of God and are saved, but we will need to learn about bearing witness in the Spirit because this is the way the Holy Spirit guides us after we are born again.
When we simply know something on the inside, it’s an inward knowing. This knowledge does not come from our physical senses, but directly from the Holy Spirit to our spirit. It is an inward conviction that lets us know what we should do in a certain situation or area of our lives. This inward urge or prompting can either be an uncomfortable feeling on the inside (not in our body or our emotions, but in our spirit) that we should refrain from taking a certain action or direction in life, or a good, comfortable feeling in our spirit that we should go ahead with doing something or head down a certain direction. It is not so much about hearing words or a voice inside, but more a “perception” on the inside, an inner intuition or knowing that “this is it”—that’s the inward witness.
We, as New Testament believers, are greatly blessed to have the Holy Spirit residing on the inside of us, available to help, counsel, and guide us around the clock, as long as we are open to His help and guidance. Every believer, regardless of age, can tune into the leading of the Holy Spirit by listening to the prompting in their heart. However, if we want to recognise His voice, we must train ourselves to yield to and be led by the Holy Spirit. We must not grieve the Holy Spirit, but yield to His promptings to forgive someone if we have been wronged or offended, or walk away from temptation because it is the same voice that will guide us to make the right decision.
The Holy Spirit will lead and protect you, but we have the responsibility to tune into His prompting daily. We should make it a habit to listen to what He is saying in the area of walking in love and yielding to the Lordship of Christ as a believer.

圣灵通过我们的灵同证我们是上帝的儿女。一旦我们意识到“圣灵住在我们里面”这个事实，我们就应该努力倾听祂的提醒。祂不能被肉眼看见，因此我们需要允许祂通过我们的心/或 “内在的灵人”来引导我们。
当我们在内心简单地知道某些事情，一种内在的知觉。这种知觉不是通过我们的身体的感官来的，而是从圣灵直接传达给我们的灵。这是一种内在的信念，让我们知道在某种情况或生活的某个方面我们应该做什么。它是一种内在的冲动，或内在的提示。它可以是一种内心的不舒服感觉（不是在我们的身体或情绪中，而是在我们的灵里），我们不应该做某事或在生活中走某个方向。它也可以是我们的灵里一种好的、舒适的感觉，我们应该做某事或向某个方向前进。我们讨论的不是听到言语或内心的声音，更多的是内在的感知，内在的直觉，一种内在的知道，“就是这个！”– 那就是内在的见证。
作为新约的信徒，我们何等蒙福有圣灵居住在我们里面。圣灵时刻准备提供帮助、咨询和指导，只要我们敞开接受祂的帮助和指引。每一个信徒，无论年龄大小都能通过倾听内心的提示来调整自己，顺应圣灵的引导。但是如果我们想要识别圣灵的声音，就必须训练自己顺服并遵从圣灵的引导。绝对不要让圣灵忧伤，而要顺服祂的提示，若我们被冤枉或冒犯了，就要饶恕那人，或者逃离试探，因为这把声音与那指引我们作出正确决定的声音是同一个声音。
圣灵会带领和保护你，但每天调整自己收听祂的提示却是我们自己的责任。作为信徒，我们应该养成习惯，凡事都听听祂的说法关于如何行在爱中，以及顺服基督的主权等等。
