A balance between the Word of God and the witness of the Holy Spirit in our lives is necessary if we want to be led by God. In undertaking any new project, we would want to make sure that we have His blessing. Perhaps you are considering launching a new ministry or venture but aren’t sure whether it is God’s prompting or merely your own imagination or desire.Because God knows our thoughts and struggles better than anyone else, the best way is to ask Him through prayer and expect Him to speak to us during times of personal devotion, and continue listening to the Holy Spirit even after receiving a Word from Him. We should never rush or be forced into any decision, but should seek God’s wisdom and opinion and allow Him to direct our steps.
If we diligently read the Scriptures, we will know when He is speaking to us. The Word He gives will be personal and relatable to our experience and struggle and specific to the decision that we need to make. He will answer us with His Word, through a book, chapter or verse from the Bible. We should avoid making rash decisions until we have heard from God, even when facing a deadline. And we should aim not to step out unless we have His assurance that His hand is upon our project and that He will be with us.
This may seem like a time-consuming process, but it is a necessary part of the surrendered life. Rather than allowing our own will, wants and desires to dictate our lives, our focus is on seeking to do God’s will.
Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
It takes time, effort, strategy and finance to develop and sustain any project and to see it flourish. Unless and until we have received a personal word and confirmation from God, it would be presumptuous to assume that He will bless our work. However, once received, His Word will anchor our faith and sustain us through challenging times. It will give substance to our faith and help us to remain unshakeable in our walk. This is the kind of surrendered life that God desires for and from us.

神未开口，我不行动！
如果我们想被上帝引导，就必须在圣经与圣灵在我们生命中的见证之间取得平衡。在进行任何新的冒险时，我们都希望自己能笃定得到上帝的祝福。也许您正在考虑开展一项新的事工或冒险，但不确定是上帝的激励还是您自己的想象或愿望。因为上帝比任何人都更了解你的想法和挣扎，所以最好的方法是通过祷告向祂求问，并期待祂在你灵修的时候对你说话，即使在从祂那里得到话语之后也要倾听圣灵的声音。我们不应该仓促或被迫做出任何决定，而要寻求上帝的智慧和意见，让祂指导我们的脚步，然后祂会以祂的话语来确认，无论是通过圣经中的一卷书、一个章节还是一段经文。
如果我们坚持不懈地阅读圣经，以此作为我们个人灵修的一部分，当祂对我们说话的时候我们就会知道，因为此时圣经已经相当个人化，并且与我们的经历、挣扎以及需要作出的某个决定息息相关。在我们听见上帝的声音之前，要按兵不动，不要草率地作出任何决定，即使给到我们的提议即将到期，除非上帝已经答应祂会插手其中且与我们同在，否则我们说什么也不开步。
这看似耗费时间，却是降服生命的必要部分，我们不希望我们的意志、欲求和渴望支配我们的生命，而是让上帝祝福我们的项目和我们的生命。因为我们寻求遵行神的旨意，所以我们会想要听到圣灵的声音，并得到神确认的话语。
希伯来书 11:1 (NKJV) 信就是所望之事的实底，是未见之事的确据。
发展和维持任何事工或生意并使其蓬勃发展都需要时间、策略、努力和资金，更不用说一路上的障碍和挑战，但真正支撑着我们的是我们对上帝的信仰。除非我们收到了神对我们个人的话语和确认，否则凭着自己的假设认为祂在我们的决定中并与我们同在是愚昧的想法。我们从祂那里领受的话语将在我们启动项目时锚定我们的信心，并带来它会成功的信念。信心必须锚定于上帝亲赐给我们的话语中。这使我们的信心有了实底，帮助我们在信心的道路上坚定不移。这就是上帝渴望我们拥有的降服的生命。
