 “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say? 47 Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like:  48 He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was [founded on the rock. 49 But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great.”

1. How well do you know the spending habits of your spouse/partner, and how have you learned to adjust the spending as a couple together? According to a covenant marriage, discuss what is your understanding of opening a joint bank account and having shared assets and liabilities.

2. Have you noticed the love of money sneaking in to become an idol in your or your spouse/partner’s life and what are the challenges you or your spouse/partner face? Discuss what are the principles for you and your spouse/partner in terms of the use of money and how have you learned to manage your finances together.

3. Have you caught the “affluenza” virus and discuss to what extent of lifestyle do you and your spouse/partner agree to live in contentment? Are you and your spouse/partner satisfied with the management of your money at this stage and how can you improve on the budget planning and setting financial goals as a couple? Share if you have experienced God’s blessings or promotion when you make God the source of provision by practicing tithing as a couple.
