231118 – He Has Gone Through It Too 祂也曾经历过

Isaiah 54:17(NKJV) No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgement You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.

As leaders, doing what is right or cleaning up wrong practices will often invite false accusations by others, but leaders need to brace themselves for false accusations, and know that they are called to make morally correct and good decisions which may not always be popular. Nevertheless, Jesus can empathise with you, because even though Jesus is sinless, He was falsely accused of perverting the nations and forbidding people to pay tax to Caesar (Luke 23:2). Therefore, come to the throne of grace, and let the Lord infuse His grace and strength to help you; allow Him to vindicate you and restore to you what has been falsely said about you!

If you are going through company or church politics, know that Jesus Himself has also experienced politics played by the Chief Priests and the scribes.

Mark 15:11-13 (NKJV) But the chief priests stirred up the crowd, so that he should rather release Barabbas to them. Pilate answered and said to them again, “What then do you want me to do with Him whom you call the King of the Jews?”

So they cried out again, “Crucify Him!”

Different personalities may react differently to politics being played: some fight back, others suffer and protest in silence or plan a detailed counterattack, some hyper-ventilate by talking to people. No matter what category you belong to in the natural, you can have redeemed personality that allows you to walk in the Spirit and not the flesh.

Matthew 26:52-53 (NKJV) But Jesus said to him, “Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword. Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels?

Jesus laid down His rightful access to 72,000 angels in order to walk in the will of God. Likewise, our action plan is laid out in the below Scripture. At times, not retaliating is a form of weapon in itself, because there is nothing for the enemies to make use of or to support their claim.

Matthew 5:43-44 (NKJV) “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbour and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.

Jesus asked us to love, bless, do good and pray for our enemies. When we do that, it will free us from being entangled with the situation emotionally, think more clearly and make good decisions amid the chaos.

Sermon Series: The Power of the Blood (Part 2)
