We need to have the perspective that God owns everything on earth because the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. All that we eat, the raw materials that produce the goods we use, and everything that we behold with our eyes belong to God who created all things.
Malachi 3:10-11 (NKJV) Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house. And try Me now in this,” Says the LORD of hosts, ” If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” says the LORD of hosts.
When you tithe, you are essentially saying, “God, you are my source of provision, and with you as my source, I can do more with the 90% than I could with the 100% if left to my own devices, and I am honouring you and being obedient to your Word”. Tithing makes God your source, and when God is your source, there will be an overflow of abundance and you will be in a position of prosperity where you will have more than enough for your needs and for the needs of others. That is how we should position ourselves—make God our source and not the world.
Just like the people of the Old Testament who depended on the faithfulness and the provision of God, the church of today is dependent on the provision and the blessings of God. In fact, the church of today has a much heavier responsibility than the priests in the Old Testament because we have been commissioned to preach the Gospel to the ends of the world.
If Jesus has commissioned the church to preach the Gospel, He will fund it by using it as a channel of His blessings to provide the funding. He will bring in the revenue to fund the church operations, the outreach and mission programmes through the members of the church. There is a greater need now than ever when the world’s population has grown beyond 7 billion and China beyond 1.4 billion. He has entrusted the work of the ministry to us!
Bring the tithes into the storehouse with the assurance of the Lord opening the windows of heaven and pouring out blessings to you that exceed all your needs. Let’s make it a part of our godly habit to tithe to God monthly and trust God to be the source of our provision.

如果耶稣把传福音的使命托付给了教会，祂将用它作为祝福的渠道来提供资金。祂将带来收益，通过教会成员为教会运作、外展和宣教计划提供资金。 当世界人口增长超过 70 亿而中国超过 14 亿时，人们对福音的需要简直前所未有。 祂已经把事奉的工作托付给了我们！
将什一奉献送入仓库，笃定主将打开天堂之窗，将祝福倾倒在你身上，超乎你的一切需要。让我们使每月缴纳什一奉献成为一种敬虔的习惯，并且信靠上帝作我们供应的源头。
