Ephesians 4:11-12 (NKJV) And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
There is a misconception that ministry is meant for full-time workers like pastors, evangelists, and the church staff, but we would never reach the entire world if it was left to full-time ministers because full-time ministers are not called to the marketplace. Instead, the full-time ministers’ job is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry.
The role of the fivefold ministry is to equip the saints for the work of the ministry. It means they are to teach and equip believers regarding how to share the Gospel, write their personal testimonies, identify their spiritual gifts, pray for the sick, cast out demons, and do everything out of their love for God and for the lost.
We need to know how to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit when someone is open to the Gospel. How are we to engage people in conversation? How do we befriend a stranger at an outreach event? How do we pray for those in need? These are just some of the topics besides other important doctrines and theological stands.
All of us are called into full-time ministry. The only difference is that the body of Christ is placed amongst unbelievers in the marketplace, while the fivefold ministries are inside the church office. Therefore, we should view our jobs in the marketplace as a full-time calling from God because we are a minister of the Gospel in the marketplace. Our job is a form of worship to God, and we should do an excellent job in the marketplace to be a good testimony for the Lord. Meanwhile, we should also be sensitive toward people whom God wants us to minister to, and be ready to share the Gospel with others. It might not be convenient to share the Gospel in the office, but we can find an appropriate time and place to do it effectively.
We will not be able to minister to the people based on our own strength, but we can tap into the omnipotent God through our faith in Him. The ability of God is revealed in the Word of God. We have seen His creative power in the entire Bible.
John 14:12 (NKJV) “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
We are saints who are equipped for the greater works of ministry and for the edifying of the body of Christ. You and I can do it!

我们所有人都被呼召去做全职的事工，虽然基督的身体被放置在职场里的非信徒中间，而五重职事是在教会的职分里。我们应该把我们在职场上的工作看作是上帝的全职呼召。我们是职场上福音的传道人。我们的工作就是敬拜上帝的一种形式。我们应该在职场上做得很好，成为主的好见证。同时，我们也应该对上帝要我们服事的人敏锐。我们需要准备好与他们分享福音。在办公室里传福音可能不太方便，但我们可以找一个合适的时间和地点有效地传福音。
我们不能仅凭自己的力量来服侍人。藉着在祂里面的信心，我们可以亲近全能的上帝来帮助我们。上帝的能力显明在上帝的话语里。我们已经在整本圣经中看到祂创造的大能。
约翰福音 14:12b我所作的事，祂也要作;并且要作比这更大的事，因为我往父那里去。
我们是装备好的圣徒为了做更大的事和建立基督的身体，你和我可以做到！
