2 Peter 1:2-4 (NKJV) “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”
Based on the above Scripture, God has given us great and precious promises to live out all things that pertain to life and godliness. All things would include clarity regarding our gender in life, and godliness means not succumbing to the unnatural feelings that come with gender confusion. God knows us in our mother’s womb, and we are beautifully and wonderfully made. Therefore, we will accept our gender at birth, and refuse to give into confusion by others that we can choose our genders.
It is through the redemption realities that we can overcome temptations and the lust in the world, including lustful desires for the same sex and confusion that one is trapped in the body of the wrong sex and has a need for sex change. We refuse to allow the devil to enter the devil’s playground, which is our minds, by entertaining thoughts of gender confusion and being led by our feelings.
If a believer really wants to break free from these unnatural feelings, they need to apply the Word and renew their mind with the Word of God so that their thoughts will align with God’s Word. Nothing will be able to hold them back if they choose to deal with it, first by putting their identity in Christ, being secure in Christ, and knowing that they are accepted in the beloved. They will no longer be bothered or pressured by the world’s influence. With a renewed mind, their life will no longer be dictated by what they feel or think. They are no longer a slave to those feelings and sinful desires.
However, they must know how to yield to the power of the Holy Spirit, reign in their unnatural feelings and acknowledge that God has created them to be of their gender because God never makes mistakes. They also need to intentionally cut off all influences from social media, media and refuse to subscribe to those past advocacies in the world.
Jesus has set us free from sin. Therefore, we are no longer in bondage to the dictation of the flesh that desires to live independent of God. The victory comes from walking and yielding to the Holy Spirit by not allowing the desires that come through the senses of the body to dictate our lives. The victory will also come through guarding our thought life and renewing our minds with the Word of God regarding who we are, what we have, and what we can do in Christ!
Sermon Series: Natural or Unnatural? (PART 1 Gender Confusion)
一切关乎生命和圣洁之事
彼得后书1：2-4 愿恩惠平安，因你们认识 神和我们主耶稣，多多地加给你们。 神的神能已将一切关乎生命和虔敬的事赐给我们，皆因我们认识那用自己荣耀和美德召我们的主。因此他已将又宝贵又极大的应许赐给我们，叫我们既脱离世上从情欲来的败坏，就得与 神的性情有分。
根据上述经文，上帝给了我们伟大而宝贵的应许，要我们活出与生命和敬虔有关的一切事。这些事物就包括我们生命中性别的清晰度，并且敬虔就意味着不屈服于随性别困惑而来的非自然感觉。上帝在我们母亲的子宫里就认识我们，我们被造得美丽而奇妙。因此，我们会在出生时就接受自己的性别，拒绝被别人迷惑而以为我们可以选择自己的性别。
正是通过救赎的事实，我们才能克服世上的诱惑和情欲，包括对同性的色欲和被迷惑而认为自己被困在错误的身体中，需要改变性别。我们拒绝让魔鬼进入魔鬼的游乐场，也就是我们的思想，拒绝接受性别困惑的想法，也拒绝被我们的感觉所引导。
如果信徒真的想摆脱这些非自然的感觉，他们需要应用神的话并以神的话更新他们的思想，这样他们的思想就会与神的话保持一致。如果他们选择对付它，就没有什么能阻止他们，首先是将他们的身份放在基督里，在基督里笃定，并知道他们在爱子中被接纳。他们将不再受到世界影响的困扰或压力。有了更新的思想，他们的生命将不再受制于他们的感受或想法。他们不再是那些感觉和罪恶欲望的奴隶。
然而，他们必须知道如何顺服于圣灵的力量，控制他们非自然的感觉，并承认上帝创造了他们，各按性别，因为上帝从不犯错。他们还需要有意识地切断来自社交媒体、传统媒体的所有影响，并拒绝世俗的那些要不得的主张。
耶稣已使我们脱离了罪。因此，我们不再因肉体支配的束缚以致想要独立于神而活。这胜利来自于顺服圣灵而行，从而不让来自身体感官的欲望主宰我们的生命。这胜利也来自于通过上帝的话语以保护我们的思想并更新我们的头脑，从而知道我们是谁，我们拥有什么，以及我们在基督里能做什么！
