Pray to thank God
“I will give to the LORD the thanks due to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the LORD, the Most High.” Psalm 7:17
Reflection: King David prayed to give thanks to the Lord. He doesn’t thank God because he was blessed with riches or fame or never-ending happiness. He says he will thank God because God is righteous. No matter what you are facing in life, God is always good and deserving of praise. Thank Him for who He is and the basic blessings that are so often taken for granted: shelter, food, family, friends, education, and health.
