1231 – Train Your Spiritual Muscles 训练你的属灵肌肉

John 15:7-8 (NKJV) If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

Lockdowns caused by the pandemic could trigger plenty of negative emotions in us, especially if you already had a lot of pent-up frustrations over issues at home. However, this is also a good opportunity for us to work out the differences in love, but to do that, we first need to know how to deal with some of these emotions.

It is normal for people to have differences or disagreements, but how we resolve them will affect our relationships. When somebody makes unreasonable remarks at you, you can either rebut aggressively or keep your peace by trying to understand their point of view. Although your emotions are stirred up,you must choose to walk in the Spirit and abide in God instead of retaliating. Because we are a new creation, have the nature of God in us, and God has given us the ability to reign in our negative emotions and the work of the flesh, we can work on our emotional well-being by choosing not to be offended and let it pass. The more we exercise self-control, the better we will get at it just like building muscles by lifting weights till the muscles ache.

Galatians 5:16-17 (NKJV) I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.

The key to managing our emotions is abiding and walking in the Lord. Godliness is choosing to yield to the Lordship of Christ by obeying His teaching, denying the flesh, picking up the cross and acting on what we have been taught. The Holy Spirit, who is our teacher, lives in our hearts and will instruct and empower us to make the right choices whenever we are faced with difficult situations. If we abide in Christ, we will bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit, and love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and self-control will be evident in our lives, instead of anger, vengeance, frustration, bitterness, hatred, impatience, being mean, evil plotting, betrayal, and lawlessness, which is the work of the flesh.

All believers have the fruit of the Holy Spirit in them, but choices of whether to allow it to manifest or for the flesh to reign are being made by us throughout the day, which will determine the atmosphere in the homes and in our lives. We will only prosper in our soul when we abide in God and not allow the flesh to reign.

约翰福音 15:7-8 你们若常在我里面,我的话也常在你们里面,凡你们所愿意的,祈求就给你们成就。 你们多结果子,我父就因此得荣耀,你们也就是我的门徒了。

由防疫政策所致的封闭可能会产生或触发我们许多负面情绪,尤其是当你已经对家庭中的许多问题感动到沮丧。但是这也是一个极好的机会让我们在爱里解决差异。这首先需要知道如何处理这些情绪。

人与人之间存在差异或分歧是正常的,但我们解决它们的方式却会影响我们的关系。 当有人对你作出不合理的评论时,你可以积极反驳,也可以通过尝试理解他们的观点来保持冷静。 虽然你的情绪被激起,但你必须选择行在圣灵里,住在神里面,而不是报复。 因为我们是新造的人,在我们里面有神的性情,并且神给了我们能力统管我们的负面情绪以及血气的工作,我们可以通过选择不被冒犯和让它过去来改善我们的情绪健康 。 我们越是锻炼自控力,我们就会越轻车熟路,就像通过举重锻炼直到肌肉酸痛来锻炼肌肉一样。

加拉太书 5:16-17 我说,你们当顺着圣灵而行,就不放纵肉体的情欲了。  因为情欲和圣灵相争,圣灵和情欲相争,这两个是彼此相敌,使你们不能做所愿意做的。

情绪管理的关键是住在主里并行在主里。 敬虔是选择顺服基督的主权,顺服祂的教导,否认肉体,背起十字架,按照我们所学的去做。 圣灵是我们的老师,住在我们心中,每当我们面临困难时,他会指导和授权我们做出正确的选择。 如果我们住在基督里,我们就会结出圣灵的果子,仁爱、喜乐、和平、忍耐、恩慈、良善、信实和自制将在我们的生命中显现出来,而不是愤怒、报复、挫折、 苦毒、仇恨、急躁、刻薄、阴谋、背叛、不法,这些都是血气的作为。

每一个信徒都有圣灵的果子在他们里面,但是我们整天都在选择是让它显现还是让血气掌权,这将决定家庭和我们生活中的气氛。 只有住在神里面,不让血气作王,我们的魂才会兴旺。
