Jesus is our Emmanuel: God with us. He is our Lord. We can put our trust in Him in every situation of our life. Our Lord is in control over the storm of life and any raging sea. As Christians we are not promised a life without challenges. Our Lord promised victory over it as long as we call on His name and believe Him to be the Mighty Warrior who saves.
The Bible also says that we should “delight in the Lord, and He will give us the desire of our heart, psalm 37:4. We can start by counting our blessings. Name them one by one. We can cultivate a heart of gratitude and thanksgiving to the One from whom all blessings flow.
The Best way to develop a personal relationship with Jesus, our Emmanuel is by reading His Word and putting it in practice. In His Word we gain wisdom and guidance. We are spiritually fed and nourished. The Bible even talk about “river of living waters flowing from within us ” John 7:39.
The Spirit of God living in Us has the power to renew our strength and enable us to live that dynamic Christian life. A life sustained by the joy of Lord. A life where our confidence in Him makes us unshakable. His love in us gives us another perspective. We see things through his eyes and act upon his Word. We become One with Jesus, and follow His footsteps.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, how great is your love. I might not understand everything around me. But I hold on, on your TRUTH. You are the way, the truth and the Life. I choose to be joyful in acknowledging you to be my Emmanuel. Thank you for your protection. Thank you, for your deliverance.
