This is love: Not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” ~ 1 John 4:10

What had been your emotions before and upon receiving your result slip? While some might feel elated with their achievements, others wished they could have done better. Result day can be a nervy time, with a mixture of emotional high & low.

A* or A, B or C, pass or fail – are these chips to earn love and respect from people around us? Would God love me more because I “glorify Him” with the good results” or would God love me less because I miss the mark? Would all the celebrations or remarks around and about me now, define who I really am and what my future can be?

God’s love surpasses all understanding and human comprehension. Believers are not tasked to earn God’s love and affirmation by work. The Bible tells us, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast (Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV)”.

No matter how “successful” or how “under-achieved” we might think of ourselves, nothing will change God’s love for us.  All of us are on this journey in life – we are still “loading”. There are so many things we want to do and aspire to attain. While still loading, we can sometimes try so hard to do things using our own wisdom and resources. Sometimes, the loading process makes us feel as if we are put on long waits. We get frustrated and impatient. We start to think that God doesn’t care and is not helping us. The matter of fact is: God cares. God loves. He is love.

Trailblazers, let’s open the book of our hearts to God’s eye, to understand this love He has for us while we are still “loading”. The grades we received now does not determine how far we can go next. Our identity must always be rooted in Jesus and we should remain hopeful and joyful because we know He has great plans for our future. While “loading”, God is constantly working His ways through us, for us.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for You see not of my imperfection but of who I am being In Christ! In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
