Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus ~ Romans 8:1

“Nobody would love me if they knew the real me…”

Have such thoughts ever cross your mind? Maybe you have some secrets which you think it might just be best to keep to yourself. Nobody should ever know about it. Nobody needs to know about it. Or perhaps, there are ugly sides to your personality that you try your best to conceal.

Hebrews 4:13 says, “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account”. Yes, this means that even if those secrets you have kept so well for a long long time, that nobody has ever discovered, are not hidden from God.

But God does not condemn. Romans 8: 1-2 states, “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death”.

How great the love of our Father is for us! We as believers of Jesus Christ no longer live in condemnation and are completely set free through the blood of Christ.

So does it mean that we can continue to keep these secrets from God or even, continue to live in the darkness of sin?

Absolutely not! Trailblazers, we can come back to our Father, confess these secrets to Him and ask for forgiveness. True repentance comes from the heart. Perhaps you discover that you have chosen the wrong path at one of life’s crossroads, and you wish you could do it over again. The apostle John writes, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousnes” (1John1:9).

Live no more in secret. God is waiting for you to take your steps towards Him. Claim your ownership to a life of joy and light.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I come before You in full repentance. I won’t try to cover up but truly confess my past wrong and seek for your forgiveness. Will you be my Guide and lead me forward. I want to walk in Your ways. Thank you Lord. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
