Before you speak, ask: Will what I’m about to say help others become stronger?
The Bible tells us that “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits (ESV)”. You have the ability, with your words, to make a person stronger. Your words are to their soul what a vitamin is to their body.
Man is created in the image of God thus there is also tremendous power in our words. In fact, what we say will either allow God or the devil to work in our lives because we release that authority over our lives by the power of our words.
Trailblazers, let us not withhold encouragement from the discouraged. Do not keep affirmation from those who are beaten down! We are called to be the Light of God! The Bible says ““You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.”
Therefore, we can speak words that make people stronger. Believe in them as God has believed in you. Be the positive voice to people’s life. It matters.
Ephesians 4:29 says, Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen ~ So before we speak, let’s pause, think and make sure our words are helpful to build lives.
Be the genuine voice which speaks the love of Christ.
Prayer: Dear Lord, I am given life and I want to speak life into people lives, just as You have spoken life into me. Help me to build my family and friends up with your love and positive words every day. In Jesus Name I commit my life, Amen.
