Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
Let your [a]gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
Philippians 4:4-9 (NKJV)

CG Discussion Questions:

1. Describe how negative “facts” have robbed you or others from experiencing the “truth” of God’s Word. Talk about the battle that is involved in choosing to think on the “truth,” as more true than the “facts” of discouragement or depression you may face.

2. Describe the process of something going from a “thought” to an “argument or high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God” to a “stronghold.” Discuss this process in producing negative results and in producing positive results.
Please go through the book “UP” Chapter 3 (The Things You Could Think If Only You Tried) group discussion questions.

3. Describe your “happy place.” What do you do in your own personal life and walk with God to make mirth and find the place of joy, laughter and singing?
Please go through the book “UP” Chapter 4 (Going to Your Happy Place) group discussion questions.
