Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.

Phil 2:1-4 (NKJV)

CG Discussion Questions:

1. What is the purpose of having a local church, and why did Paul address the church of Philippi on the problems with division and disunity? Explain what “koinonia” means and how have you been blessed through being served or serving at various ministries?
(Philippians 2:1-4, 1 Corinthians 3:3; Ephesians 4:11-12)

2. Explain what it means to be like-minded as how Timothy is to the Apostle Paul. Discuss what are the hindrances to church unity and what being of one accord and of one mind should be like for the local church.
(Philippians 2:19-20; 2 Chronicles 5:13-14)

3. Do you see yourself on a cruise ship or on an aircraft carrier when you attend ICS? Discuss your understanding of the visions of ICS and what areas of interests, gifts or calling do you have to serve and bless the community?
