CG Discussion Questions:
1. What are the biggest worries or concerns that you have in your life now and why does Jesus tell us not to worry about tomorrow? With recent economic downturn or if you or your family experienced financial difficulties, would you have trouble making adjustments to your lifestyle or your identity status in the society?
(Matthew 6:25-34)
2. Explain what it means for you to “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness”. Discuss if you have the right priorities in your life and if God is an integral part of your major decision making. What idols or who have taken priority over God when you seek for a solution?
(Matthew 6:33)
3. Compare the situations where Jesus commented “little faith” when people were filled with all kinds of worries to the “great faith” demonstrated by the centurion in believing that Jesus’ word alone has the authority and power to heal. Knowing the importance of seeking God first and to have faith in God’s promise after He has spoken to us, discuss how you can apply this to the worries you have now. (Matthew 6:30-32; Romans 10:17; Numbers 23:19; Luke 7:8-10; Hebrews 11:1, 6)
