Matthew 26:39
“Yet not as I will, but as You will.”
Isaiah 30:21(NKJV)
“Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.”
Matthew 18:19 (NKJV)
“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.”
Discussion Questions:
- In a season of uncertainty or a major life decision, how did God give you the confidence to move forward? Was there a Scripture, a conviction, a sense of peace, or a specific moment that became your “firm footing”? (Jeremiah 17:7; Romans 8:28; Matthew 7:7-8)
- Pastor reminded us that God often leads us not in isolation but in community. How have a spouse, Christian business partner, mentor, or fellow believer helped you seek God’s will, wait on His timing, and stay aligned when important decisions needed to be made? What have you learned about communication, trust, and praying in agreement together? (Matthew 18:20;1 Corinthians 12:25-27;1 Corinthians 10:13)
- Peter saw the miracle only after he obeyed Jesus’ instruction. Can you share a time when God asked you to take a step of obedience before you could see the outcome? What made that difficult, and how did that experience deepen your faith? (Luke 5:5)
Sermon Summary
This Sunday, we will have a special panel discussion featuring several guests who will share their personal journeys of faith, decision-making, and experiencing God’s guidance in different seasons of life. Through honest conversations and real-life testimonies, they will reflect on moments when they had to surrender their own plans, seek God’s will, and trust His timing. Join us as we hear how God provided direction, strength, and wisdom through Scripture, prayer, and the support of a faith community. We hope this conversation will encourage us to deepen our trust in God and seek His leading in our own journeys.
