From the standpoint of the gospel, they are enemies for your sake, but from the standpoint of God’s choice, they are beloved, for the sake of the father’s for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
Romans 11:28-29
Q & A:
- Discuss if you believe that only some people are chosen, called and designed by God before they are born (like prophet Jeremiah, Samuel, king David, apostle Paul), or that God has designed and pre-planned every single one of our lives with a special destiny and calling. (Rom 11:28-29; Jer 1:5; Psa 139:13, 16; Gal 1:15)
- Discuss if your life seems to be planned out to fulfil the dreams of your parents or the people closest to you; or to reach/adapt to other people’s expectations in the society. When you are not getting a clear plan from God through your prayers, have you made the solemn decision that you are ready and willing to do exactly what He says, rather than how you want it your way? (Eph 2:10)
- Have you discovered your passion, something that you love to do and people realize that you are good at it? Discuss how you have been practicing or using the gifts that God has given you to influence the lives of others or in your calling in the marketplace/profession, knowing that the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. (Rom 11:28-29)
