“For the mountain may depart and hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed”, says the Lord, who has compassion on you.”
– Isaiah 54:10
Summer is a time where many would take time to reorganize their closet; tucking away hoodies and pulling out light and comfy apparels. Many of us would re-organize our bookshelves and study tables; throwing away papers and notes filled with text and scribbles which we probably won’t be needing anymore since we are en-route to next grade in new academic year.
Summer is also a time with mixed emotions: bidding farewell to some of our closest, dearest friends as they embark on a new journey, be it new college; university; new city or country.
Summer is a time we experience changes.
Whilst so much changes are going on in this season, I cling even more tightly to the Word of the Lord. I cling ever so dearly to His unfailing love. “For the mountain may depart and hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed”, says the Lord, who has compassion on you.
I thank God that whilst everything seemed to be changing and moving, His steadfast love remains for me.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your unfailing love for me. Never a day will I ever want to be far from you. I want to keep close to you Lord. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
