“I no longer call you servants … instead I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.”
– John 15:15
All of us need friends. It is important for us to identify who are our real friends, those who stay with us through thick and thins; who encourage us when we are down; who speaks truthfully to us with grace and who genuinely care and love us. True friends are real treasures. It is a blessing from God.
True friendship takes time to build.
The Bible tells us, that God is our Friend. The Lord never despise us. He gently guides us and help us. He gives strength to us when we are weak. He promised us joy everlasting. When we feel downcast, we can draw from the fountain of His living water and be up-lifted. The Lord blessed us with peace and assured us that we don’t need to be worry or be anxious of anything. Through prayers and petition, with thanksgiving, we can present our request to the Lord (Philippians 4:6). He hears our prayers and He answers us. God is always near. Emmanuel is always with us. What a Friend we have in Jesus!
God knows us better than we know of ourselves. He loves us deeper more than anyone else ever could. Let there never be barrier between the Lord and us. We can always talk to God and enjoy fellowshipping with Him. He is faithful!
What a Friend we have in Jesus!
