12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a bondservant of Christ, greets you, always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
Colossians 4:12
Q & A:
- Who are some of the unsung heroes in the Bible or around you that have made an impact on you? Do you know any believer who has never led a soul to Jesus Christ, including yourself? What is stopping you from sharing the gospel and be a soul winner like Epaphras, who may be just an ordinary man? (Col 1:6b-7; Col 4:12)
- How much time do you spend in prayer each day, especially knowing that there is no gift of prayer and there will be no praying in heaven? Explain why one would agonize in prayer and what it means to keep on praying until God says “no”. (Col 4:12; Luke 18:1-6; 2 Tim 4:2; Heb 11:6)
- Knowing that God hears us in whatever we ask and a prayer that is in the will of God would always be answered, discuss what you should do when your prayers seem unanswered and if you would want God to change His will/mind for your requests. Why should we spend time in prayer? (1 John 5:14-15; Ps 106:15; Rom 8:26-27)
