Ephesians 6:18 (NKJV) praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—
We are to watch and pray with our full armour. We need to pray at all times since we know the schemes and flaming arrows of the evil ones. A life of prayer is taking every opportunity to pray. What does the Apostle Paul mean by “in the Spirit”? It means that you are in touch with the Holy Spirit, under His control, and you’ve got a prayer partner leading you at every opportunity in prayer. We are to enforce the victory of Jesus amid the battle that comes in our thought life and tribulation.
1 Corinthians 14:15 (NKJV) What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding.
Praying in the Spirit is a wonderful experience derived from a relationship with God’s Holy Spirit. It also involves praying with love and compassion for a person and with authority over a situation or circumstances that are the works of the evil one. The Holy Spirit is our Teacher, Comforter, and Helper. He brings all the Word of God into our remembrance and aids us in prayer. We must stay alert and watch by being sensitive to the Holy Spirit, who will reveal things to us, including things to come.
Sometimes, the Holy Spirit wakes us up to pray and intercede when we stay tuned to God by listening and being led by the Spirit of God to pray. At other times, praying in the spirit is when you are waiting upon God’s instruction or feeling burdened in the heart regarding whom you are praying for.
Intercessory prayer stands between God and the people as we pray for them. We can pray for our children, spouse, pastor, or anyone God has placed in our hearts to pray for. We stand on God’s promises and pray for them.
Examples:
- We pray for our husband that he will stand firm in the Lord despite his challenges.
- We pray for our children against the influence of the world and all that attempts to gain access to or build a stronghold in their minds.
- We pray for them to have godly friends who will influence them positively
- We pray for them to have the courage to stand up to their beliefs and to hold on to the correct values and principles.
- We pray for our loved ones that the sickness will not cost their lives.
- We pray for our loved ones to be saved!
- We pray for the saints to have an understanding of the things of God, as the Apostle Paul did in Ephesians 1:15-23

例如：
- 我们为我们的丈夫祈祷，无论面临怎样的挑战，他都能在主里站立得稳。
- 我们为我们的孩子祈祷，抵挡世界的影响，以及所有试图进入或在他们的思想中建立营垒的东西。
- 我们祈祷他们有敬虔的朋友，对他们产生积极的影响
- 我们祈祷他们有勇气坚持自己的信仰，坚持正确的价值观和原则。
- 我们为我们所爱的人祈祷疾病不会夺去他们的生命。
- 我们祈祷我们所爱的人得救！
- 我们祈祷圣徒能明白神的事，就像使徒保罗在以弗所书1:15-23中所明白的那样
