The world is broken, and we all experience pain and hurt. Sometimes it’s because of our own bad decisions, sometimes it’s because of bad decisions by our family and friends, and sometimes it’s because someone we don’t even know made bad decisions. Jesus never said His followers would be immune from the consequences of brokenness, but He promised that God would be with them to help them.
No one can escape sadness and heartache, but when we abide in Jesus, we experience God in unique ways, even during seasons of suffering. We can’t avoid the brokenness of the world, but we can find peace and rest because we know God is with us as we abide in Him.
