“I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”
– Psalms 119:11
The Bible tells us that we must guard our heart for it is the wellspring of life. Your heart is extremely valuable. We don’t guard anything that is priceless. Is it from your heart that you love and process all kind of feelings. You are called to love the Lord your God with all your heart. If it is not guarded, it will love something else and make it your idol.
The peace of God, that surpasses all understanding has the power to guard your heart (and mind) in Christ Jesus. As you start a new day. Pray for the Lord to fill you with his Peace. If you are anxious about anything, come to the Lord in prayer and talk to Him about it because he cares. He promises to take care of you, because you are …. “family”.
Open up your heart to your Father in Heaven. He knows how to help, He knows how to nurture your heart.
Keep reading your Bible and hide the Word of God in your heart. As you do that, the Bible says you might NOT sin against God. It will influence your words and fill your heart with good stuff. That’s why it says: from the abundance of your heart, your mouth speaks.
Allow the Word of God to saturate your heart in such a way that it will overflow with words that builds up, words that has power to bring life to people, words that are pleasing to God.
The Word of God is also called the word of life! It contains life for your personal nourishment. Your heart needs it, so keep on feeding yourself with it and experience the power of the Word of God dwelling in you. You will be able to do great things. Not because you are exceptional, but because you serve an exceptional God.
Give Him Your Heart!
Prayer: Thank you, Jesus because there is power in your Word. It guards my heart and fills me with peace. Thank you for giving this new day. May it be filled with your grace. Show me how can I live it well, for your glory. In all I do, I honor you. Because Lord, you are my King. I pray for my heart to be a home for you.
Amen
