“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
– Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the son of the Living God. He is the Messiah. The Bible says that whoever calls upon the name of Jesus shall be saved. He is the rock of our salvation. Whoever believes in Jesus shall not perish, but have eternal life. To us who believe, the Bible says, He has given us the right to become children of God.
As we start this new day, let us meditate on the truth about Jesus. He is the way the truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father except through Him. He says “come to me all you who are weary and heavy burdened , and I will give you rest”. He calls us to Him so we can experience His rest.
Jesus is the princes of peace. He gives us peace. Not like the world gives. He himself is the peace that surpasses all understanding. We can put all our trust in Him. He loves us so much that he died on the cross and rose again so that by his stripes we are healed. He calls us to Him so we can be saved, healed, restored and spend eternity with God.
Jesus lived a life of obedience to the Father. He was committed to follow the will of God and persevered in prayer in difficult times. He preached the good news of the Gospel from city to city. Jesus calls us to be his imitators because there are still billions of people who haven’t heard about him. Our great commission is to spread the Word of God and the good news of the Gospel. Let’s start today within our house and neighborhood. Our school and any other place we go are filled with people that God desires to save. Shall we start to be a blessing to them?
Prayer: Jesus, I praise you. You have given your life as ransom for me. Thank you for giving me a living hope. Give me a clear vision of what you have planned for me today. I trust in your love and in your goodness. Show me people who need to know you and use me to spread your Gospel.
Amen
