When they were alone, He explained all things to His disciples.” – Mark 4:34
There are so many things we do daily. So much for us to achieve and accomplish. We are constantly busy, busy busy. It can be so easy for us to lose track of time and lose time to spend with the Lord.
Spending time with God in solitude is vital. It is a time when you keep yourself away from the noise of the world; from the assortments of suggestions and comments; simply to hear from HIM – YAHWEH.
When we are alone with God, He reveals Himself to us. Keep our eyes on God. Find an inner room in which to pray when no one even knows you are praying. Shut the door, talk to God. Matthew 6:6 tells us, “When you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut the door, pray to your Father who is in the secret…”.
Know this, that praying is not telling God an exhaustive list of “I want I need”; but recognize that this is a time of coming into perfect fellowship, in oneness with God, who loves us so dearly! Time as such is so precious – treasure it!
God will reveal Himself to you, when you make time to be alone with Him. You will surely be refreshed.
Reflections: When was the last time you are in a quiet place alone with Him?
Prayer: Dear Lord, I want to come into Your presence, to fellowship with You, to be rested in You. Help me Lord to make time for You, to put You first before any other matters that seemed important. Help me put my priorities right, to put You first and be blessed in the fellowship with You. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
