“From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the Rock that is higher than I.” – Psalm 61:2
How have you been lately?
Couples of months already into the academic year and the road ahead seems long; the to-do list seems overwhelming and sometimes, doubts if we are going to pass the mark of expectations just sneakily creep into our mind. Fear grappled and crippled us. We felt like shrinking.
As we remember the covenant that God has blessed us through Jesus, let us not tuck ourselves small anymore. Matthew 8:26 challenged us “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?”.
We can gain our confidence through Jesus because He is trustworthy. He is reliable. He is dependable. We need to remember, that even when we are at our wits end, God is still in Sovereign control of all matters.
To us, we might see giant, wrecking waves coming against us.
To God, this is how He will show Himself powerful and strong.
Psalm 93:4 in the NIV states, “Mightier than the thunder of the great waters, mightier than the breakers of the seas – The Lord on high is mighty”. There is nothing that is too hard for God and there is nothing He cannot handle. As we might felt like we do not have strength anymore to carry on, no stamina to forge ahead, that is because we had been so self-dependent. Please know that as believers, we can lean on our Abba, to draw strength from Him, and see how He is able, to give us wisdom and teach us on how to overcome the challenges, and live victoriously and purposefully by the grace of God.
As you begin to depend on God, you will experience that beautiful freedom, totally set free from fear and released from heaviness. Will you take this step of faith, to lean on Jesus.Prayer: Dear Lord, Father, I am secured in Christ because You are the Rock of my salvation I place my feet upon You Lord and my assurance is found in Your Love. I give thanks and praise! In Jesus Name I pray, Amen
