READ: Psalm 134
People who accomplish big things in life tend to have big passions. From Martin Luther King to Steve Jobs, impactful people are passionate people. God has given you distinct passions that will lead you to a purpose-filled life. When you actively do something you love, it’s not a chore; it’s a calling. So many people want to chase futures full of fame or fortune. Sure, those things may fill your savings account, but they won’t feed your soul. On the flip side, when you explore your passions, you grow into the person God designed you to be.
David praises God stating, “I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well” (Psalm 139:14). This passage is a celebration of human diversity and personality. God created you to create something special, so explore that in your short existence. What are you passionate about? It could be painting, writing, clothing, counseling, mentoring, health, or basket weaving. Whatever it is, truly embrace it. Those things will give you energy and enthusiasm. If we wish to mirror our Creator, we should be creative ourselves.
