Making your Words Heard
When you think of influential words, you probably envision someone speaking from stage with authority and status. Public figures and leaders are certainly given platforms to magnify their voices, but that doesn’t mean your words can’t carry significant impact.
Ecclesiastes 9:17
The quiet words of the wise are more heeded than the shouts of a ruler of fools.
Solomon explains that impactful words aren’t based on volume, they’re based on value. Oftentimes, it’s not the loudest voices that change our lives. It’s the quiet voices speaking truth and encouragement into our lives when we need it most. In our culture that’s largely built around influencers, it’s easy to think that you need to grow your platform to make yourself heard, but that’s not true. Personally speaking into someone’s life to help them grow closer to God can change their life. What greater influence is there?
Prayer Prompt: Jesus, please help me to focus on using my voice to make a difference in the lives of those around me. Help all of my words to carry eternal value and encourage others towards you.
