14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Heb 4:14-16
Q & A:
- Do you believe that Jesus, our High Priest can sympathize with our weaknesses, grieve, pain, distress, physical or emotional suffering? Discuss what is stopping you from approaching boldly to the throne of grace to seek His help in time of need. (Heb 4:14-16; Jam 4:6)
- What are the “thorns in the flesh” in your lives that you need to deal with, where you need to ask for God’s grace and to draw strength from God for your weaknesses? (2 Cor 12:8-10; Num 33:55; Eph 3:16, 20)
- Discuss how you understand “God’s grace is sufficient for you” and “God’s Grace = God’s Strength”, where God is Almighty (El Shaddai), omnipotent, able to meet all our needs and deliver us through all the circumstances. (Gen 17:1; 2 Cor 12:9)
