14Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. 15 And He said to them, “GO into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” 19 So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

Discussion Questions:
- Jesus rebuked the disciples for unbelief and hardness of heart. In what areas of our lives might we still struggle with unbelief or a hardened heart toward God’s Word or the supernatural? What practical steps can we take to keep our hearts soft before God? (Mark 16:14; Ephesians 1:20-21; Ephesians 2:6)
- Share your testimonies and experiences regarding healing. How do you understand the statement, “We are the point of contact for God’s healing, not the source of healing”? How does this perspective shape your mindset and attitude when praying for the sick? Often, we expect “instant miracles,” yet healing can also be a progressive process. When we do not see immediate results, how do you continue to stand firm in faith? What Scriptures or spiritual truths help you remain encouraged and steadfast in trusting God’s work? (Mark 16:18; 1 Corinthians 12:9–10a)
- What does it mean to you to become the righteousness of God in Christ? Has this identity—of having no condemnation and being able to come boldly before God—truly shaped your relationship with Him? Or are you still living under shame, fear, or self-condemnation? How did you initially respond to the gospel? Is your “belief” still alive and active today, or has it gradually become merely a concept? In your daily life, are you willing to openly confess and live out that “Jesus Christ is Lord”? Is this reflected in your choices, values, and words? (Mark 16:15–16; Romans 10:9–10)
Sermon Summary
This week’s sermon reminds us that after Jesus’ resurrection, He continues to minister through His body—the believers. The Great Commission in Mark 16 calls all who believe to preach the gospel, cast out demons, and pray for the sick. God desires not only reflection on Christ’s sacrifice but active participation in His mission. Faith and obedience are essential, as unbelief and hardness of heart hinder His work. Through Christ, we are redeemed, made righteous, and positioned in authority over darkness. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we serve as channels of His power, trusting Him to confirm His Word with signs, bringing salvation, healing, and deliverance.
