Our words have power. What we declare can have an impact on our destiny, especially when it comes to our faith. Many people in this world dare to say that they don’t believe in God. They take pride in their philosophy. But the Bible is clear: Jesus Christ is Lord. Your Journey as Christian starts here: Upon the confession of your mouth. When you declare that Jesus Christ is YOUR Lord.
But do you believe it in your heart? Jesus is Lord because he came to earth as a man and died on the cross for our sin. He was buried and, on the third day he rose again. He is now sitting at the right hand of the Father, as our Savior and Lord. A Christian is a believer of Jesus Christ. May he reign in your heart as you choose to believe and accept him as your personal Lord and Savior.
The Bible also says that we all sinned and fall short from the glory of God. We all need to be saved from the consequences of our sin. Hell is waiting those who did not receive Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. But for those who received Jesus as their Lord, those who believe in Him, He gives them the right, the power to become children of God.
So, what are you waiting for? Confess your sin to the Savior. Repent. Declare. Believe. Be saved. Even as a Christian, you still need to come clean before the Lord every morning. Allowing HIM to wash away your sin so you can have a fresh start. Ask Him to save you from temptation and any kind of sinful habits or attitude you might have developed.
He is the Savior, He is the Lord. His name is Jesus.
Prayer: Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner. I believe that you have the power to wash away my sin. Help me believe in you with all my heart. I want to start this day with you in my heart. Show me what you have planned for me and teach me how to follow your way. Amen.
