0920- The Righteousness of God in Him 神的义在祂里面

Romans 3:20-22 (NKJV) Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference;

The law was given so that man knew what was sin and the fact that we will never be able to be good enough. The deeds of the law were heavy and nobody was able to be justified in God’s sight.

Paul is telling the Israelites that there is a righteousness that is APART from the law and it is REVEALED. That is the righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ.

Galatians 2:16-22 (NKJV) knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified. “But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is Christ therefore a minister of sin? Certainly not! For if I build again those things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”

Paul is saying to them very clearly that nobody can be justified by the works of the law. He told them not to build upon those things that is not necessary neither does he preach to them the works of the law because it will be contrary to the grace message. In this case, the Jews were trying to ask the Galatians to be circumcised which is no longer necessary because man always wants to add something to salvation through grace.

If we still need to do something (torture our body, unnecessary or never ending rituals, fasting, deception) to add to what Christ has already done then Christ would have died in vain.

Romans 10:9-10 (NKJV) that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

神的义在祂里面

罗马书3:20-22 所以凡有血气的,没有一个因行律法能在 神面前称义,因为律法本是叫人知罪。但如今, 神的义在律法以外已经显明出来,有律法和先知为证: 就是 神的义,因信耶稣基督加给一切相信的人,并没有分别。

律法设立的本意是叫人知罪, 并且知道”无人能做到足够好”的事实. 按律法而行是几乎不可能的, 也没有人可以在神面前称义。

使徒保罗在这里告诫以色列百姓, 有一种义是在律法以外, 并且已经显明出来. 这就是因信耶稣基督而来的义。

加拉太书2:16-21 既知道人称义不是因行律法,乃是因信耶稣基督,连我们也信了基督耶稣,使我们因信基督称义,不因行律法称义;因为凡有血气的,没有一人因行律法称义。 17我们若求在基督里称义,却仍旧是罪人,难道基督是叫人犯罪的吗?断乎不是! 18我素来所拆毁的,若重新建造,这就证明自己是犯罪的人。 19我因律法,就向律法死了,叫我可以向 神活着。 20我已经与基督同钉十字架,现在活着的不再是我,乃是基督在我里面活着;并且我如今在肉身活着,是因信 神的儿子而活;他是爱我,为我舍己。 21我不废掉 神的恩;义若是藉着律法得的,基督就是徒然死了。

使徒保罗对他们说得很明白, 没有一人能够因行律法而称义. 他告诫他们不要在没有必要的事情上面做工, 他也不会宣导”行律法”, 因为这将与恩典信息相悖。

在这个案子中, 犹太人试图要求加拉太人接受割礼,而这已经不再必要。只不过人总是试图在“凭恩典得救”之外画蛇添足。

那么基督就是徒然死了如果我们依旧需要在基督已经成就的事上再添枝加叶,比如苦待自己的身体,不必要或没完没了的仪式、禁食、欺诈等等,那么基督就是徒然死了。

罗马书 10:9-10 若口里认耶稣为主,心里信 神叫他从死里复活,就必得救。 10因为,人心里相信就可以称义,口里承认就可以得救。
