Living in the era of the new covenant, when we are born again, we can pray to the Heavenly Father in Jesus’ name and have the Spirit of God living in us, where the Word of God can lead and guide us. We can always seek God when we have choices to make but when we do, it is best not to have preconceived ideas or answers. We must also commit the plan and strategy to God. Ask Him if it is His will for your life. Take the time to pray the same prayer for a few days or even up to a month for a major decision.Proverbs 16:3, 9 NKJV Commit your works to the LORD, And your thoughts will be established….A man’s heart plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps.
Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
This is how we can commit our plans to God :
1. Pray and ask God to speak to you primarily through His word (safeguard 1)
You may ask for a book, chapter and verse regarding the decision or plan which will be very helpful after making the decision to proceed. This will help anchor your faith in His Rhema Word during challenges you may face once you have the confirmation to go ahead.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 NKJV All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2. Be sensitive to the leading and witness of the Holy Spirit (safeguard 2)
There will be a witness in our spirit to our decision which will either bring peace or uneasiness. If there is peace, it will be given over and above the word of assurance from the Scripture given by the Lord.
Romans 8:14-15 NKJV For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”
Acts 27:9-10 NKJV “Now when much time had been spent, and sailing was now dangerous because the Fast was already over, Paul advised them, saying, “Men, I perceive that this voyage will end with disaster and much loss, not only of the cargo and ship, but also our lives.” (emphasis added)
3. Seek out godly counsel and share with them where you think God is leading you (safeguard 3)
Proverbs 15:22 NKJV Without counsel, plans go awry, But in the multitude of counsellors they are established.
4. Take a step of faith if God has spoken to go ahead with the plan.
Conversely, if the answer is ‘No’, we have to be humble and have the courage to accept it. We have to submit to God when the answer to the prayer of consecration is not according to His will for us. This is the dying to our flesh not to do as we want or like and it can be seen as a form of protection for us. Ultimately, we have to step out in faith and trust in His leading.

我们可以如此把我们的诸般筹划都交托给神：
1. 祷告并请求神以圣经为首选方式对你说话（保护措施1）
在抉择已定后，你可以求问相关的经书章节，这些经文将是非常有帮助的。一旦你蒙神确认这决定可行，当将来遭遇挑战时你听见神对你说话“瑞玛（Rhema）”的时候，这些经文将锚定你对祂说的“瑞玛”的信心。
提摩太后书 3:16-17 圣经都是 神所默示的（或译：凡 神所默示的圣经），于教训、督责、使人归正、教导人学义都是有益的， 叫属 神的人得以完全，预备行各样的善事。
2. 敏锐于圣灵的带领与见证 （保护措施2）
在我们的灵里会有个证人见证我们的抉择，这抉择给我们带来的要么是平安，要么是不安。如果有平安，它将远远超乎主所赐的经文中确据的话语之上。
罗马书 8:14-15 因为凡被 神的灵引导的，都是 神的儿子。 你们所受的，不是奴仆的心，仍旧害怕；所受的，乃是儿子的心，因此我们呼叫：“阿爸！父！”
使徒行传 27:9-10走的日子多了，已经过了禁食的节期，行船又危险，保罗就劝众人说： “众位，我看这次行船，不但货物和船要受损伤，大遭破坏，连我们的性命也难保。” （着重强调）
3. 寻求敬虔的忠告并与他人分享你认为神正在引领你的方向 （保护措施 3）
箴言 15:22 不先商议，所谋无效；谋士众多，所谋乃成。
4. 如果神已经说了计划可行，那就迈开信心的步伐
相反的，若答案是“不”，我们当谦卑，且勇敢地去接受它。当分别为圣的祷告与神对我们的旨意不一致时，我们必须顺服神。这是向我们的肉身死，不做我们想做或喜欢做的事，这可以看做是对我们的一种保护。最终，我们必须凭着信心踏出去，并信靠祂的带领。
