Every one of us, Christians and non-Christians alike, need to ask this very deep and difficult question – who is Jesus?
The simple answer is that He is the Son of God. However, we also need to ask even as Christians:
– What is Jesus capable of doing now?
– What did Jesus say and what did He mean by what He said? Does it matter in my life?
– What is His will for my life?
– How relevant is He in our daily living?
– What should we expect when we pray? And how should we pray?
These theological questions require us to seek answers as mature believers. We need to have a biblical conviction regarding what we believe, which is what will anchor our faith in God. A rock solid faith is built on a solid foundation!
There are many different Bible characters in the Old and New Testaments, who came to God for help regarding all kinds of need. We need to be convicted that Jesus is still interested in our lives and has in fact, opened a new, better and living way for us to enter boldly and fearlessly into the presence of God behind the veil.
Hebrews 11: 6 (NKJV) But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Notice the words “must believe that He is.” Here is a list of who “He is”:
– A living God
– A Redeemer
– The Creator of heaven and earth
– The God of all flesh
– Omniscient, Omnipresent and Omnipotent
– The Alpha and the Omega who is the beginning and the end
– El Shaddai, the Almighty God
– A covenant-watching God. All that He has belongs to us and we are able to enjoy everything
– A God who does not lie and watches over His word to perform it in our lives
– A good Heavenly Father who does not change like a shifting shadow
– A giver of good and perfect gifts
– The Heavenly Father who will do much more than our earthly Father will do for us
– Jehovah Rapha, our healer. We have witnessed the work of Jesus in the Gospel when He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil.
– The same yesterday, today and forever.
Let us reach out to Him by faith as we believe in who HE IS. Faith pleases God.
Is He able? If yes, we are to come before Him by faith to believe because this is what pleases God. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. Therefore, what is required of our faith is to take God at His word and believe in the integrity of God’s word. We believe that He is able to fulfill and watch over what He has promised us. The question is what do we believe in regard to who He is? What pleases God is our conviction as to WHO He is.

耶稣是谁？
我们每个人，无论基督徒与否，都需要问一下这个深刻的难题-耶稣是谁？
简单的答案就是耶稣是上帝的儿子。可是，就算是基督徒也需要问一下：
– 耶稣在现时能做什么？
– 耶稣说了什么？祂所说的是什么意思？祂的话对我的生命有何意义？
– 祂对我生命的旨意是什么？
– 祂在我们的日常生活中有多重要？
– 当我们祷告时，我们应该期待什么？我们该如何祷告？
这些神学问题要求我们这些成熟的信徒寻求答案。对于我们所相信的，我们需要有一种对圣经的坚信，这将使我们把信心锚定在主里。磐石般的信心是建立在坚实的基础之上。
在《旧约》和《新约》中有许多形形色色的圣经人物，他们为着各种各样的需求而寻求上帝的帮助。我们需要确信耶稣仍然对我们的生活感兴趣，事实上，祂已经为我们开辟了一条新的、更好的、活泼的道路，让我们坦然无惧地进入帕子后面上帝的同在之中。
希伯来书11:6 人非有信，就不能得神的喜悦；因为到神面前来的人必须信有神，且信他赏赐那寻求他的人。
注意“必须信有神” 以下是“祂是谁”的清单：
– 活着的神
– 救赎者
– 天地的创造者
– 凡有血气者的神
– 无所不知、无所不在、无所不能
– 阿拉法和俄梅戛，祂是那起初的，也是那末后的
– 全能的神，伊勒沙代
– 守盟约的神。祂所有的一切都属于我们，我们可以享受一切
– 不撒谎的神，信守祂的话语成就在我们的生命中
– 一位好的天父，在祂没有转动的影儿
– 美善礼物的恩赐者
– 比起地上父亲为我们所能做的，这位天父能做更多
– 耶和华拉法，我们的医治者。我们在福音书里见证了耶稣的工，祂周游四方行善事，医治一切被魔鬼压制的人。
– 昨天、今天和永远，祂都不改变
让我们凭着信心向祂伸手，就像我们相信祂是谁一样。信心让神喜悦。祂能吗？若是的话，我们就要因信来到祂面前，因为这是神所喜悦的。信是所望之事的实底是未见之事的确据。因此，我们的信心所需要的，就是信靠神的话，并且相信神的道是完全的。我们相信祂有能力履行和信守祂给我们的承诺。问题是我们相信祂是谁？令神喜悦的是我们确信祂是谁。
