Your Spiritual Gifts Can Help Your Church Grow (Part 4) – CG Campaign

Part 4: The Body Ministry

1 Corinthians 12:4-11

There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in allBut the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the PROFIT of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

CG Discussion Points

  1. Discuss what the “word of knowledge” is and what it is not as a gift of the Holy Spirit. Illustrate from the passage example or your experience on the supernatural revelation by the Holy Spirit of certain facts in the mind of God, relating to people, places or things. (1 Cor 12:4-11; John 4:16-18)
  2. Explain the difference between the “word of wisdom” and the “word of knowledge” through the gifts of the Holy Spirit, in terms of what is revealed from God by referring to the passage example. (Acts 9:10-16; Acts 2:17)
  3. Discuss the purpose on the gift of “discerning of spirits”? How do you test if the spirit is of God, demon or human? (1 Cor 14:29; 1 John 4:1-4; Acts 16:16-18)
