Daniel 6:25-27 Then King Darius wrote: To all peoples, nations, and languages that dwell in all the earth: Peace be multiplied to you. I make a decree that in every dominion of my kingdom men must tremble and fear before the God of Daniel. For He is the living God, and steadfast forever; His kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed, And His dominion shall endure to the end. He delivers and rescues, And He works signs and wonders In heaven and on earth, Who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.Daniel made a difference in King Darius’ life. A king who not only did not follow God, but also made a decree that whoever made a petition to any god or man for 30 days, other than himself, would be cast into the den of lions. So how was he so impressed and influenced by Daniel to completely change his mind? What are some of Daniel’s qualities?
Daniel consecrated his life to God. He always sought the face of God and lived in the center of God’s will. Even after King Darius signed the decree banning prayers and petitions, Daniel continued his worship of God.
Daniel lived a sanctified life. He chose not to defile himself. While King Nebuchadnezzar offered portions of his delicacies and his wines, Daniel was not tempted and chose to abstain from having them.
Daniel was a good citizen. He was a vessel of honor for God. Even while serving under many foreign kings, he served them loyally and distinguished himself above the others.
Daniel possessed a very good character. He was faithful to God, obedient towards the authorities and had a spirit of excellence in everything he did. Even when Daniel was in the lions’ den, he gave honor to King Darius.
Daniel 6:20-21 And when he came to the den, he cried out with a lamenting voice to Daniel. The king spoke, saying to Daniel, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?” Then Daniel said to the king, “O king, live forever!”
Daniel utilized the gift that God gave him. He used his gift of interpretation, and honestly interpreted dreams for King Nebuchadnezzar and handwritings on the walls for King Belshazzar.
Daniel is an exemplary model for Christians. Through Daniel’s character and actions, King Darius witnessed how God worked in the life of Daniel and recognized that God was the living God. How can you inspire others? Would you be an influencer and save someone’s life?

但以理将生命奉献给上帝。他总是寻求上帝的面，并活在神旨意的中心。即使大流士国王签署了禁止祈祷和请愿的法令，但以理仍然继续敬拜上帝。
但以理过着成圣的生活。他选择不玷污自己。当尼布甲尼撒国王赏赐了他一份美味佳肴和葡萄酒时，但以理毫不动心，选择戒绝这些饮食。
但以理是一个好公民。他是上帝荣耀的载体。即使在伺候多位外国国王的时候，他也忠诚地侍奉他们，并且表现出众。
